Lucy Costigan is an Irish author and therapist. Her book, Strangest Genius: The Stained Glass of Harry Clarke, (co-authored by photographer Michael Cullen) was shortlisted for Best Irish-Published Book at the Irish Book Awards in 2010. Lucy holds a BSc Degree in Psychology from the Open University at Milton Keyes, England, and Masters Degrees in Equality Studies (UCD, Ireland), and in Research (NCI, Ireland).

The themes of Lucy's non-fiction books include Harry Clarke's stained glass, complementary therapies in Ireland, women and healing, workplace bullying, social issues in counselling, an exploration of the meaning of life, and a course in developing consciousness.

Lucy's novel, Winter Solstice is based in Newgrange, County Meath, Ireland, on the morning of the winter solstice, and deals with the themes of love, loss and rebirth.
Her novel The Transformation of Yvette is the story of a woman who, overnight, awakens to a new state of consciousness.

Lucy's books have been reviewed on RTE - Ireland's National Television and Radio stations, on BBC radio, and in various newspapers and magazines. Lucy is also a freelance writer and her articles have been published in leading Irish and British newspapers and magazines.


In 2010 Lucy wrote and produced her first film documentary entitled, A Revel in Blue: The Life and Work of Harry Clarke.


Lucy has worked in private practice as a counsellor and therapist for almost two decades. She now works and lives in her native town of Wexford in South East Ireland.
